In 21 Century, students will learn science knowledge, art knowledge and human science, the important is to know the way to learn and grasp knowledge Basing on own feature, form a set of learning way to fit oneself .it is the reed to person of new-high technique. For meeting the requires, the author applies Metacognitive learning strategies in English teaching of senior high school. It's aim is to form learning way and develop learning abilities. As early as 1970s. Flavell invented Metcognition?From then on, the research of Metacognition and Learning Strategies is going on But there is no one same definition Generally Metacogniton is a cognition about cognition Cognitive strategies is to help students reach the study aim daring their cognition actions But. Metacognifion is to serve the information about the actions and it抯 development. Using cognition strategies is for improvement. Using Metacognition is to control this improvement. Metacognition is self-conscience and self-control. About learning strategies, different specialist has different definition Basing on these definition, the author defines learning strategies. Learning strategies is a process to arrange, execute, correct and reach study aim .It includes inner study regulation, and outer study way and skill. English learning strategies is a process to arrange, execute, correct and reach English study aim. It includes inner English regulation and outer English study way and skill. Metacogition is nuclear of learning strategies, top control level. Learning strategies can realize only through Metacognition. Generally, Metacognition includes Metacognition knowledge, Metacognition feel and Metacognition control. Metacognition Knowledge is information about actions, process, result. Metacognition feel is a feel and emotion of cognition during the course of cognition actions Metacognition control is a control and adjustment during study. Putting metacognition into English teaching, we can train students with high quality and high abilities. The author applies Metacoginition learning strategies in the English teaching of senior high school, and gets some good effects. In this paper, the author tries to discuss the application of Metacognotion Leafing strategies in senior high school English teaching.
