Research On College Ideological Work(CIW) On-line

In recent years, the Central Committee of the party has repeatedly required that we should make good use of information network to improve the efficiency of ideological work in colleges. This paper analyzes the chances and challenges that college ideological workers face in the age of Internet. Considering the impact of Internet on students' values and life styles, the author raises some ideas and ways to better CIW. The paper emphasizes the positive guidance, sharing information through information technology, building firewalls to supervise the net and forming a new layout of CIW. Based on the above aspects, the author puts forward several strategies for CIW on Internet: setting up a central system on-line to coordinate CIW of all colleges in China; establishing fine network stations to provide the net with healthy content; strengthening cooperation with commercial stations; fully using domestic news net stations in CIW; law-making for network hence creating superb network environment for colleges.
