The question is to perplex a question of the school teacher and headmaster's that the middle school students violate discipline, and is also one difficult point of school work, how to educate the students who violate discipline, is also existing the old way of "to is ineffective, and the new methods have no of" question, Therefore it is very necessary to strengthen research about discipline-breaking characteristics, reason of the middle school students and educational countermeasure, It is concern about students grow up healthily, concern about the whole social moral take a favorable turn .The discipline-breaking fact can be more true to reflect characteristics and reason that the students violate discipline. The middle school students' self-critical letters are the recorded materials to discipline-breaking facts; meanwhile it is a kind of educational method that teachers let students write self-critical letters. This text investigates for example with some schools of Lan zhou, through analyze and research self- criticizing letters that the students violated discipline from 1998 to 2000, combine interview, questionnaire investigation, analyze the characteristic and reason that the middle school students violate discipline concretely, and the application result of the method that teachers let students write self-critical letters and question existing.The research expressed that the middle school students' activities against discipline are fights, playing truant, rob money (thing) mainly, Through analyzing the reason of fights concretely, also finds that the phenomenon is more serious to oppress the weak in middle school students, it is very danger to grow up of the students healthily, but conceal very much, it is difficult to be found by the teacher. Through analyzing the reason of playing truant, reflect the main reason is that the students dislike studying, and it is very general phenomenon that the middle school students dislike studying now, most students go to the game Room (the internet cafe) to play games after playing truant. Results of study indicate the most of discipline-breaking students distribute in the junior two. 53.5% gang to violate discipline in the incident of violating discipline, there is participation of the social unemployed young man in some incidents; some activities against discipline means are fierce, go beyond the general dispute among classmates. The writer thinks that the reasons, which cause discipline-breaking behavior of the middle school students to happen frequently, mainly have: the bad phenomenon in the society has offered models to the students against discipline, illegal management has fostered the behavior, parents' insane education theory and educational way has also motivated discipline-breaking behavior, all the things have brought very great obstruction to education of the school. The bad behavior habit that the student already formed is the important reason that caused students to violate discipline during the course of primary school; some fault existing in the school is also one of reason. Study also reflects that students' self-critical letters produced evidence effect mainly, but not be formed of function that encourages the self-education of the students. The writer thinks that we should prevent and reduce the emergence of the middle school students' discipline-breaking behavior, the society, family and school should all make joint efforts, guarantee the students' growing up healthy and sound. Especially the school shoulddeepen reform, change the idea, not only play the teachers' leading role, but also fully reflect the students' primary role, not only should pay attention to preventing from educating, but also will pay attention to the self-education of the student after violating discipline.
