This thesis makes a probe into the writing of Chinese middle schools from imitative compositions to innovative compositions. The thesis consists of four parts. The first part analyzes the current situation: the evaluation standard of writing teaching dissimilates,the target is deviant, the teaching method is wrong ,and mechanism of the composition correcting is imperfect, writing teaching is lack of liner . The second part states the idea that imitation is the base of innovation and innovation is the target & goal of imitation.The third part makes an analysis about the specific process from writing by imitation to writing by innovation .The last part suggests the specific teaching methodology' from imitation to innovation,based on students' psychology, teaching principles and writing principles.
