During the trends of the New-Course Reform, many teachers have found that seeking help from the tradition is an effective way in practice . Chinese teaching, especially the Imitation Strategy for writing teaching, has proved to be full of vitality through several thousand years of practice. Imitation is different from plagiarism. The ultimate goal of imitation is creation, which means writing some personal articles in creative way, with profundity , literary grace and creation, based on the learning from the achievements of the predecessors. The implementation of the imitation stategy should first consider the the source material for imitation. During the phase of high schools, the relatively appropriate materials are textbook, popular articles, the composition exercise by their classmates as well as teachers. The present composition of the students in the"Four-Star"High School is quite complex. During the teaching, we must consider how to imitate the four types of materials and stratify our teaching according to students of different levels. The training of the conventional genres of writing can also not be neglected . The teacher should make the students lay a solid foundation for the narrative writing and guide the students to write out some affecting articles, or more specifically, guide the students to learn how to depict the characters directly and indirectly. While the emphasis of the imitation of argumentation is laid on the refinement of the thesis , the arrangement of the proof structure and the useing methods of the proofs. In order to help the students get higher scores in exams, it's necessary for us to train our students to imitate some literary works. In particular, the fabrication of novels, the compilation of fables, and the creation of prose can all practise divergent thinking of students and cultivate their rich imagination.
