With the development of society and the furtherance of people's rational recognition of education and teaching activities, project-learning mode has become a focus in education study. Among all the relevant issues, the most important one is the position of project-learning mode in class teaching. Currently, there exist two misunderstandings in China. One equals project learning mode to a laissez-faire attitude in teaching, and the other regards it as the exclusive profession of scientists and theorists. It is these two misunderstandings that make people skeptical of the practicability of project learning mode. Therefore, the author intends to make a thorough study on the teaching methodology of project learning mode in chemistry class as well as on its practicability.The first part traces the origin of this mode, elaborates the purpose, significance and methodology of the study, and analyzes this mode thoroughly.The second part summarizes the author's view points on project learning mode in chemistry teaching through the analysis of teaching practice.The third part makes a exploration to the feasibility of project learning in chemistry class and point out that we should promote project learning in chemistry class through three channels: the role of teachers, developing research awareness and capacity and ensuring project learning in institutions.
