| Today, our national vocational schooling confronts a challenge to its existence and development, such as losing students' good source etc. By analyzing the questionnaire, the writer leams that, some vocational school students, as vulnerable groups, have been put on a sign of "poor student", having unhealthy mentality and personality. How to make the students have wholesome personality becomes an important problem waiting for the vocational school teachers (including the writer) to solve. From of old, personality education has always been the essence of Chinese teaching. So Chinese teaching needs to be a necessary way to solve the problem. In this paper the writer analyzes the causes that result in the students having a flawed personality from the views of society, family, school and the students' physical and mental state etc. And on this basis, the paper emphasizes the making of the vocational students having wholesome personality is very essential. Directed by the humanistic psychology theory of Abram Maslow and the theory of Karl Marx about "person's all-around growth", learning the education experience from other countries such as America and Japan, in this paper the writer focuses on the detail how to make students having wholesome personality: by introducing personality education into our mother language education, by converting the teaching aim from "Ability Standard" to " Personality Standard" affected by the humanistic education ideas, by changing the course structure, by building up democratic and equal relationships between teachers and students, by setting up an easy-living education environment, with the teaching fundamental of respecting, praising, pleasing, and encouraging students, by optimizing the teaching method and advocating the personality education, students finally are grown up as the hosts of evaluation. The writer does hope to help the vocational students become useful persons having wholesome personality to the society and get on well with their lives.
