Culture Teaching Through English Teaching: Scope And Approach

With the rapid development of science and technology and increasing international contact, more and more people have come to realize the importance of learning English and the necessity of culture learning. The present paper explores as its main concern the scope of and approach to culture learning through language learning by comparing and contrasting words, expressions, everyday conversations, grammatical structures and texts of English and Chinese. Among those methods or approaches are direct introduction, contrastive analysis, error analysis and communicative teaching.
