"Androgyny"' is the conception that comes from the research on the degree of sex difference, which means one possess the character combined with the masculine and the feminine. Now research on "androgyny" is very limited. Many researchers use the existing questionnaire to determine the person's gender-role. First of all, this paper edited " the questionnaire of the gender-role stereotype" which provided with reliability and validity. Secondly, this paper uses "Bem Sex Role Inventory" to determine the middle-school students' gender-role, (These students come from different cities and villages.) so we can find the "androgyny" students. And then base on the result, this paper explored the difference about the ratio of the "androgyny" students between cities and villages. At last, this paper uses "the questionnaire of the gender-role stereotype" to explore the difference about the gender-role stereotype between the city "androgyny" students and the village "androgyny students. This paper investigated 1952 students, and the results indicated:( 1 )The difference about the ratio of the "androgyny" students between cities and villages is very significant. (2 )The difference about the gender-role stereotype between the city "androgyny" students and the village "androgyny" students is also significant. Especially the difference of feminine stereotype is very significant. All of these have proved that the "androgyny" students were influenced by the status of social development, although these students must be the same nation and in the same times.
