Comparison & Research On Exercises Of China--American Plane Geometry

What are the advantages and disadvantages in elementary education between China and America? This should be regarded in a scientific way. Since there's little difference between the teaching materials of the two countries, while apparent difference in exercises, this essay lays emphasis on the aspect of exercises and offers a lot of examples to illustrate and compare.Exercises is absolutely necessary in geometry teaching, and for the students, it also plays an important role in learning. On the basis of comparison, this article tries to find what the differences are and where they lie. Further more, why such differences are caused and their respective influences on the students' development of ability are analyzed to improve geometry teaching. Last but not least, recommendation and suggestion, which are both adaptable to the situation of Shanghai's geometry teaching and suitable for the second reform on curriculum, are made to reframe the exercises of geometry.
