With the society' s development, traditionary physics education haven' t take on the mission of the age because of the disadvantage in bringing up the young that be of innovation capacity. The matter of learning theory of constructivism is negation to objectivist conceptions of learning. It affirms individual' s development and perfection and embodies humanism ideas. The learning theories of constructivism deepen the individual education ideology, so it should direct our innovation of physics education. This article contains two parts. In first part, we discuss the primary ideas of the learning theories of constructivism. Learning, according to those theories, is both an individual mental process of constructing meaning as well as a social and tool-mediated process of knowledge co-construction. Meaningful learning is intentional and complex, situated in the context in which it occurs. Can we implement constructivism beliefs in physics classroom? We believe we can. In second part, I described a number of practical pedagogies that apply the theories described in the article, including collaborative work, Mindtools, knowledge-building, and constructivist learning environments. The empirical research on these pedagogies confirms the beliefs of the theorist. The do engage learner in more meaningful and transferable learning.
