| The 21 century is full of competition and the spirit of it is not only competition education, but also competition in people's quality. Therefore , being an educator, we must make clear things as follows, what hind of person should we educate and in what way ?Native language education plays an important part in people's upbring , development of a nation and a country's fate . From the aspect of language and culture, some suggestion are put forward in this essay that we should pay special attention to culture input in middle should language teaching in addition to vocabulary- culture teaching. We could achieve the final goal of language teaching-reinforce the awareness of culture, value the culture heritage of human beings, respect and understand multi-culture, focus on modern culture life, learn to anylize culture phenomenon and participate in advanced culture exchange , lay emphasis on language observation , literature as well as Chinese and foreign culture phenomenon . Learn to raise questions from usual facts and develop people s exploratory awareness and sensitivity to problems.This essay points out vocabulary is the point of multi-culture and divides the vocabulary that takes on multi-culture information into groupssuch as contradictory vocabulary , partly-coincided vocabulary , metaphor of vocabulary and paralled vocabulary ,meanwhile makes comparision between them . Therefore it shows the possibility of developing students' multi-culture awareness by focusing on the vocabulary that takes on multi-culture information.
