Urged by parents' increasing demand of their kids to learn English as early as they can, more and more kindergartens have taking English course. English education in kindergartens is a new question for study. How are English teachers doing with this course? And what are the questions during their operation? In order to improve English education in kindergartens, we must acquaint ourselves with the current conditions. Therefore a study on English teachers in kindergartens has the practical meaning. The study is base on teacher's development. The main methods in the study are questionnaire,interview,and observation, from which we can get: conditions about English teacher,English education fundamental conditions in kindergartens,English teacher's training and needs. According to the investigation, I've got to know there are several shortcomings about English teachers: Firstly, the English lever of teacher is poor in general. Secondly the teaching methods used by teachers are not variable. Thirdly teachers' ability of teaching and research is comparatively inferior. Fourthly kindergartens failed to give enough training to their English teachers. So from this questionable study, we can know easily: along with the deepening of China's education system and the development of China's elementary education, the demand on teaching staff has shifted from quantity to quality. Therefore, an important task for China's teacher education is to examine the past experience and existing problems in the process of China's teacher education development, in order to improve the reform and development of English teacher education model. Education model can be defined as a comparatively stable, systematic, typical teaching method developed, based on one school or more of education theories, by an education institution in its teaching practice. Teacher education model on the other hand, can be said to be the concrete cultivation method. In cultivation method, it is divided into three types: oriented education method, non-oriented education method and craftsman education method. That is, the would-be teacher are either trained in special educational institution for training teacher or educated in an ordinary higher educational institution. The aim of English children teachers education model is to discuss the goal, system and courses of teacher education, and explore the method of how to unite all these different elements so as to achieve good interaction and coordinated development and help the English teachers education in kindergartens grow with time.The English teacher education in kindergartens must be in line with social development as well as educational development, which stipulate innovation in syllabus, rise in education level and broadening of cultivation channels. In this way, we can build a high-level, vigorous system of children English teacher education as soon as possible.
