For the VTE, we are facing a challenge that we have never experienced. The new necessity for the qualities of labor brought by the informative society and the global economy, the transient changes in the occupation markets, the destruction of the stability of occupation structures, impose giant impact on the valuation criteria of the traditional VTE. Who are the talents adapt to the necessity of new era? How should they been cultivated? What can we do as the Chinese teachers? These are all things that we have to think about. In this article, according to a deep investigation on the current status in the literature reading and the analyses of its attribution, we firstly point out the shortcoming that exists in the VTE schools We then re-settle the valuation criteria of the VTE, and set up new training direction in which balances the cultivation of professional ability and the improvement of qualities of arts. Moreover, on the teaching point of view of the language readings, we analyze the interrelationship between the education of literature and humanities, and clarify the reading activities and the literary acceptance philosophically. The importance of reading activities in the students of VTE schools is therefore defined in order to cultivate their qualities of humanities. Finally, on the base of retrospective studies on the concepts of modern western literature and their methodologies of literacy criticism, and the thorough speculation of the enlightenment, we raise the literary concept of multi-dimensional development andsubmit our suggestion to introduce the methodologies of criticism into occupational teaching of readings. Through the induction of the concrete teaching experience in recent years, we also investigate how to draw assistance from the esthetical viewpoint to build up the platform of cross talk, how to introduce multiple methodologies of criticism to construct the expected view of readings of the students. Other aspects including how to expand their view of culture with the combination of the characteristics of VTE are also discussed.
