The novel as the most popular type of literature in the crowd is a large scale in textbook of senior high school, so the teaching of novel should be put emphasis upon.But now, on the one hand, many teachers in high school sheer ignorance of the recent situation and the fresh research of modem novel theory, some of them even are indifferent on the above, only instructing individual text by old way of "introducing author, writing background; analyzing scenario, characters, circumstances, topics, the traits of writing". Meanwhile, explaining texts has strong incline to disseminate "politics, morals and sciences".Because the novel teaching is divorced from true life, and the extra reading of their students don't have essential and proper direction. The developmental trend of middle school students extra reading make people worried.On the other hand, the new phenomenon of literature and theory come forth uninterruptedly by 20 century in the all world.Concerning the above, the article should import modem skills on instruction of middle school, and enter into the theory practicing of irony, symbolization, narratologie and so on. The article also pay more attention to application and operation. Its aim is to optimize teaching courses and suit modem literature teaching.
