It was undeniable that we lived in a world full of technology, which had become an indispensable part of our life and work. Many chemistry-related problems that we encountered everyday, such as nutrition and food, environmental protection, water supply and fuel, materials and resources, were all concerned with science and technology. However, cases were that our citizen must acquire technology literacy. Because Chemical education in high school emphasized science literacy, technology literacy is critical for the future life and career of students as part of science literacy. Therefore, technology literacy had been appeared in the eyesight of science educators and obtained wide attention of international curriculum designers. There was a tendency that technology literacy became component of curriculum objectives. Chemical curriculum, as part of science curriculum, had to integrate technology literacy.Science for All Americans, Science Education Standards of America, Technology Education Standards of America, three typical STS chemical textbooks and the chemical content in a science textbook were discussed. Ingredients of technology literacy were concluded based on the research of the American curriculum literatures. Then the skills of integrating were analyzed. Finally, Chemistry and Technology was introduced and interpreted in terms of its background, design, content system and its achievement in combination of technology literacy from the author's perspective. In this paper, research about revolution of technological education had been done by the means of literature research and comparison. In order to systemically study these textbooks, a model about textbook objective, structure and content system was presented.
