An Analysis On The State And Performances Of Amateur Exercise On Trick And Field In Wuhan City

The writer has found after a questionnaire survey to the athletes and coaches in some schools in Wuhan that: It is quite insufficient in the reserves of athletic talents; The athletic level is quite good in short-distance running, hurdles and jumping events, while the athletic level of middle-long-distance running and walking race is not so good, which indicates much room for improvements; As for the distribution of the athletic results, the urban areas do better than the rural areas in all events, but it does not mean that the athletic resources in the rural areas are worse than those in the urban areas, but that there is a great difference in the collocation of education resources. And the difference exists in the population of coaches, their coaching level, funds, sporting grounds and the guarantee of the training time. Strangely, the survey shows that the athletes in the rural areas are more enthusiastic in training than the athletes in the urban areas.The athletes' cultural results and the interest in sports form an inverse ratio to the students' age.The athletes have a broader outlet for their future since the reform started in 2001,with entering colleges and universities as their priority.As for the coaching level, those who had an experience as athletes and who had a thorough knowledge of sports training can do better in their jobs, and the students can also achieve more.The sex distribution of the athletic results shows that among those athletes of high athletic level, male athletes are dominant.After the analysis of the grade book of the students attending the sports meetings for primary school, middle school, and secondary vocational school in recent eight years conducted by Wuhan Municipal Sports Bureau and Education Bureau, we find that the athletic results are both satisfactory and worrisome.
