| Schooling education is one of the important part of education,and teaching is the core of all theschool`s undertaking. With the continuously deepen of Chinese colleges and universities`reform,promotingthe reform of teaching has became the focus of the education`s development.Physical education plays animportant role in education: it gives _expression to accomplishment education,it is important in buildingthe students and our nation.As an essential content of the colleges and universities,physical education hasalways been the content of P.Ereform,Physical education is a process of cognition in essence. The activityof cognition is achieved from exercising body in sports.During this process,grasping the technique andimproving the athletics ability are the main content:enhancing the ability of cognitionand the full-scaledevelopment are the main objects.On the opinion of semiotics, teaching process is using symbol to interpretsymbol. The main difference lies in that "The media of cognitive activity in P.E teaching process isperception symbol. while the media of cognitive activity in other subjects is sense symbol" .In thispaper,the author take the advantage of the basic standpoint of semictics,synthesize the relative knowledgesuch as Pedagogy,Control theory,information theory,systems theory,Physilogy,Psychologyand Teachingmethod.Combining the self law and characteristic of basketball and the feature of sign in basketballteaching.Basing on the utilization of vision of sign, the author carry out the experiment in basketballfundamental tactics teaching in P.E colleges and deparment,so as to improve and enhance the teachinglevelfrom the application of the signof vision during the teaching process.At the same time ,enhance thestudent`s ability of cognization,thought and practical operation,fulfill the goal of basketball teaching,reflectthe competence of education and developing the human`s nature of P.P teaching.
