A Research And Analysis Of The PE Attitude And Behavior Of The Enrolled Postgraduates In Changchun

When we enter the new century, international competition appears to be more and more based on knowledge and on the integrated strength with high-tech industry taking the lead. Knowledge, persons with ability, national makings and creative abilities are more and more becoming important attribute of integrated national power. Facing this situation, our government quickened the steps of educational reform. From 1998 when colleges and universities began to enlarge the scale of college students enrollment, some universities also began to enlarge the scale of postgraduates enrollment year after year. By 2004, the number of enrolled postgraduates in our country has reached 654600, and the prospective number of postgraduates in 2005 will be over 1 million. With the enlargement of the postgraduates' group, their physical health, PE attitude and behavior status quo have become a research subject to which much importance has been attached. Therefore, I put my research work on the basis of the theories of social science, behavioral science and psychology, and probe into the following few questions adopting the methods of questionnaire and linear regression and the method of qualitative analysis combined with that of quantitative analysis in the hope of providing more full and accurate theoretical basis for the development of PE work of the postgraduates. 1. get to know the PE attitude of postgraduates in Changchun. 2. fix on the factors influencing the PE attitude of postgraduates in Changchun. 3. get a perspicuous knowledge of the status quo of PE behavior of postgraduates in Changchun. 4. analyze and probe into the factors influencing the PE behavior of postgraduates in Changchun. 5. give suggestions to promote the development of the status quo of PE behavior of postgraduates. As is shown in the outcome of the probe, PE sensibility, PE recognition and PE behavioral tendency all together compose the structure of PE attitude of the postgraduates, and the trend of the PE attitude of postgraduates is positive. Regression on PE attitude shows that health conditions, annual PE consumption, enjoyment in the game locale, watching TV rebroadcasts and reading newspapers and magazines have a distinct influence on the PE attitude of the postgraduates. Compared to a positive PE attitude, the time postgraduates take in weekly sports activities is about 133.79 minutes, which is far less than the required time prescribed by the Ministry of Education for the students, that is, one hour one day, or 300 minutes one week. This indicates that postgraduates are relatively devoid of PE behavior. Regression equation shows that PE sensibility, annual PE consumption, pressure of schoolwork also have a distinct influence on the PE attitude of the postgraduates. To cultivate high-level people needed by our socialist construction, the college management should not only innovate the mode of educational management, they should also make full use of the function and effect of the school PE to establish a mechanism fit for the postgraduates' traits and use it to promote the development of both moral and intellectual educations.
