A Research Of The Relationship Between The Athletes’ Cultural Study Behavior And Attitude:Based On TRA And TPB Model

Based on Theory of Reasoned Action and Theory of Planned Behavior, this study investigated the relationship between the attitude and behavior about active athletes’cultural study with a questionnaire. This study has worked on four steps:Step1:with the procedure of constructing TPB model questionnaire, this study proposed a open questionnaire with3questions in order to eliciting salient bliefs, then made a Questionnaire of Athletes’Attitude toward Cultural Study Behavior which is composed with124items.Step2:This study delieverd200questionnaire at Beijing Muxuyuan Sports School, National Curling Team, National Gymnastics Team and National Shooting and Archery Team, and151are available. With the date of the scale,4times of item analysis were conducted, forming a formal questionnaire with69items.Step3:With the new-built Questionnaire of Athletes’Attitude toward Cultural Study Behavior, investigated652athletes from Haerbin, the seminar of General Administration of Sport of China and a sport university,460scales were available. This study then tested the model of athletes’ attitude toward cultural study and the application of TRA model and TPB model.Step4:The current attitude toward cultural study for the athletes is analyzed by descriptive statistics, the difference of sexual, education degree and competitive level are tested.Conclusion:1. TRA and TPB model can explain the relationship between athletes’cultural study attitude and their study behavior, and the fit indexes of TRA8factors model was better.2. To improve athletes’ cultural study behavior, they should build a positive attitude toward cultural study, need solid support from their important others, try to improve the implementation of their cultural study behavior and confidence and controliablity of cultural study.3. Athletes’attitude toward cultural study is not positive, and their cultural study behavior is concerning.4. Female athlete has a better performance on attitude than female athlete.
