The core idea of new curriculum is to promote the development of each student, teaching assessment, the vital part of teaching, also aims at the development of each student. Therefore, to meet the new curriculum requirements, we should alter the fact that only the learning outcome serves as unique criteria to measure teaching. Teaching assessment should highlight the learning process and improvement emotion, will, learning style and learning strategy shown in learning.This paper has analyzed the current situation that academic achievement assessment of students is still in the exploring stage in senior middle school under new chemistry curriculum concept in our country, made a detailed study on how to clarify the concept , master the goals and use assessment techniques, and suggested the effective assessments to realize the three goal domains (namely, cognitive, process and method, affective domain) by using various new methods: paper-pen test, performance assessment and portfolio assessment etc.Finally, This paper has presented the resistance and difficulties that we would meet and the counter-measures that we should take in academic achievement assessment of students in senior middle school under new chemistry curriculum concept. Meanwhile, we believe that only when the researchers and relevant authorities take joint effort, can we find out a variety of effective and practical measures.
