The article compares and studies the scoring means of CBA and NBA players in order to improve the quality of CBA and provide detailed theories and reference for further development of basketball in China. Quite a few first-hand materials, which are acquired by various methods, e.g. questionnaire inquisition method, document and data method, kinescoping statistics, mathematical statistics method, expert opinion method, are adequate arguments for the conclusion of the thesis. Compared with NBA players, such defects still exist in CBA players as the follows: comparatively low-grade physical quality making CBA players have less shootings and lower scoring rate; lower rate of team-work scoring; a higher percentage of shooting without defense, but nearly the same scoring percentage with NBA; a lower rate of active free throw acquired through tactics, mostly passive free throws; the mental quality of CBA players being not as good as NBA players, which means less fury forth quarter and less wonderful match; low successful fast break rate caused by flagrant fouls, which is the reason of lack of slam dunk; CBA atmosphere being not in favor of basketball development.
