Tourism Development And Folk Cultural Vicissitude

This thesis is on the problems of folk culture vicissitude under the background of tourism development. Followed by the brief introduction of the folk culture and cultural vicissitude, this passage analyses the mutual relationship between tourism development and cultural vicissitude. The tourism development has both advantages and disadvantages to cultural vicissitude. For advantages, it can help traditional folk culture spread and exchange, it can help people protect the traditional folk culture, it can enhance the environment of the folk area, it can improve the quality of living for the local people, it can improve the current economic state , change the backward viewpoint and help local people build up modern commodity economy consciousness. It can increase people's self-confidence to bring good development of folk culture. It can speed up the introduction of folk culture to the world. For disadvantages, it will impact on the local social culture and morality orientation, assimilate the folk custom of the local area., folk traditional culture was badly treated as commodity and it was distorted and over-exploited so some of the folk culture value view degenerated and was lost . This thesis focuses on Long Ji Ping'an Village. Pang'an Village has rich folk culture. The thesis introduces it from two parts, outside and inside. Outside culture , that is substance culture , social culture and spirit culture introduces Ping'an Village's terrace sights, architecture , food , costume ,traffic, wedding, funeral , festival, language, religious belief , folk arts , natural worship etc. Inside culture introduces culture base based on rice cultivating , culture character together with opening and closing and folk culture , culture feeling and morality view. The rich folk cultures are important resources for tourism development. This thesis introduces the tourism development status of Ping'an Village from tour resource , development course, base establishment , managing system, managing pattern and earnings. The traditional folk culture in Ping'an Village has changed with tourism development over the past 20 years. This thesis illustrates vicissitude of the surface culture, which includes the change of life culture, living style , living model, costume , job, wedding, language , environment and so on. At the same time, the thesis analyses the change of deep culture, which includes the change of ideology, the way of thinking and value view , the development of culture consciousness, the reducing of religious beliefs, sublimation of the folk spirit, increase in beauty appreciation. After analysing the surface culture and deep culture, the thesis shows some problems on the folk culture vicissitude under the background of tourism development. The thesis shows three aspects of feeling on it. Firstly, the key to tourism development is to pay attention to folk mentality. Secondly, the premise of the tourism development is to protect and develop the folk culture. Thirdly , realising folk culture modernization is the goal of tourism development.
