China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) exerts immense influence on the development of domestic advanced instruction. In the thesis, educational services clauses in the GATS signed by the Chinese government are examined in detailed. Then, the author disserts the opportunities and challenges provided by the accession to the WTO to the development of domestic advanced instruction, especially to domestic student resources market, teachers resources market, scientific and technologic market, and information consulting market. In face of changing conditions, appropriate attitude towards these opportunities and challenges are also discussed. In the last part, the author proposes the pointed counternieasurcs to promote the development of domestic advanced instruction.
