This paper begins with the reflection on the deficiency of Chinese education, andseeks to elaborate available playing elements existing in Chinese teaching itself, trying tocombine practical playing activities with education by exploring deeply into the spirit ofgame playing on the basis of the practical playing activities. The author attempts tosurpass the field of "educational function of playing" and come back to the nature ofeducation and playing so that Chinese teaching will to an extent turn out to be a kind ofgame playing. Instead of simply turning teaching into practical game playing activities orjust carrying out game playing as teaching methods, the author quests the result thatteaching, full of game playing spirit, becomes playing. First of all, this article examinesplaying from the aspect of education and it also keeps an eye on education from theviewpoint of playing. It explores the connotations of education in game on the premise ofthe educational values: developing students into an intact body. First, from thecharacteristics of playing activities the nature of playfulness is summarized: the spirit ofactively participating and the playing state of being relaxed and devoted, totally lost inthe game itself; then five factors of game which exist in middle school's Chineseteaching are summarized: freedom, solemnity, interactive dialogues, open and productiveconstruction, aesthetic experience. Secondly, this article demonstrates the feasibility andsignificance of the implementation of game playing in Chinese education. Life itself isfound to be the meeting of middle school Chinese education and game playing. In thecomparison of joyful education and in the analysis of the deficiency of research study,this article discusses the methodological meaning and double values playing has onChinese teaching from the aspect of internal unity of value as tools and the value ofplaying in itself. Finally, this article does the practical research into the Chinese gameplaying teaching activities from three aspects including reading and appreciating, writingand intercommunion as well as extracurricular activities in Chinese.
