New Curriculum Standard of Primary Chinese pointed out that strive to create dynamic Chinese classroom, advocating diversified learning style, committed to foster the student’s Chinese literacy. In recent years, with the rapid development of information technology, the new way of learning such as game-based learning are prevailing and are becoming the focus of all sectors of society. In this background of era, educational game was propound that combines educational and entertainment in one, it get the love of teachers, students and parents by unique advantages and are becoming a hot sport of education and other areas of study.The author analyzes the goal of primary Chinese, the problems of classroom teaching and the advantages of role-playing game, think that the role-playing educational game as an auxiliary tool of teaching is used in the Chinese classroom that can creating a relaxed environment, arousing the initiative of learning, then improving the teaching efficiency. Therefore, this thesis based on the analysis of primary Chinese course and student’s features, learning some successful design ideas of educational game, committed to finding an effective blending model of education and game, then put forward the design idea,design principle, overall design ideas and design strategies of primary Chinese role- playing education game, and take the eighth group of the text of third grade primary Chinese as an example of the design, forming a design frame model of game case of ”The mythic journey”and detailed design based on the frame model, then, use RMXP to design and develop the case of educational games of ”The mythic journey”, finally, watch and analysis this teaching process that the use of educational games in the Chinese teaching, the results show that the use of the design and development of role-playing educational games for teaching in primary school language class, can create a pleasant learning environment of language for students, stimulating motivation of pupils and improving learning efficiency.The author hopes that this study not only bring new changes for primary Chinese classroom teaching, but also provide a novel and feasible design concept for the staff of design and development of role-playing educational game, also can be used for reference to the research of other educational games.
