Research On The Relationship Between Postgraduate Admission And Quality Of Thesis

The competition of people with ability is one of the most fierce competitions in the 21st century. As the super level of the higher education , the postgraduate education attaches great importance on the selection of the ex(?)cellent students, since the admission influences the quality of the students and the effect of the education directly. The quality of the thesis is an important sign to the quality of the postgraduate education. This text discusses the factors as the way of entry, the score ,the graduated colleges , etc.. And on the basis of discussion ,the text makes the relevant analysis on the relationship between the quality of the thesis and those factors. Besides, the text pays attention to the way of enrollment and proposes some advice for reformation.The conclusions of this research are as follows:1. In the existing way of enrollment, the quality of the students who are recommended to enter the universities without examinations is better than the students who take part in the unified examination. And the quality of the students who take part in the single examination are various greatly. We propose that we improve the proportion of the recommended students and cancel the single examination gradually.2. The score of the entry examination have not the positive correlation with the grade of the thesis. On the contrary, they have the negative correlation. This phenomenon reflects the default of the existing entry examination which attaches great importance on the scores but neglects the importance of the comprehensive ability. In this case, we advice to improve the entry examination, expand the proportion of the score and the number of students of the retrial.3. The graduated colleges has no correlation with the grade of the thesis, so there is not enough evidence that the students with better educational background have the better quality. Actually, the research shows that even in the same college, the quality of students is different significantly.4. In the enrollment of the postgraduate there should be enough space for the other candidates。 The quality of these students could be assured on the basis of the scientific, normative and effective examination and verify.This text makes great efforts on the reformation and perfecting of the postgraduate enrollment to make more effective measures and improve the development of the postgraduate education.
