Research On Community Participation Of Community Building And Development

Community participation is the essence and inherent motive force for community development and social progress. Community participation can be used to judge achievement of community building and it is an important section of community building.Based on the investigation of two communities of Suzhou, through studying the field and channel and subject and object of communiy participation, author drew the conclusion as followed.as a whole, residents have a very strong desire to manage community affair, but they haven't so much action in fact. Interests influence heavily people's participation consciousness. Self-governing organization and intermediary organization and other organizations show very weak intention to deal wih community affair. So it is necessary to extent community participation field , to organize and institutionalize community participation.
