Student teaching is an extremely important component in the teacher education link ,it is a comprehensive practice course to foster and train the normal student's teaching ability. It is also an indispensable part of training normal students' good ethics of the teaching profession ,of consolidating the professional thought ,of practicing and improving their teaching ability. Student teaching will lay a good foundation for the normal students to be engaged in teaching and educational management work in the future. Study student teaching, can make the preparation in thought and theory well for the teachers and students of the normal colleges and schools to participate in student teaching.It also offer the method basis for the students to be engaged in student teaching, and it is scientific to strengthen , thus improve the quality of student teaching. At present ,the structure of education of normal school, especially high structure of education of normal school of our country ,is in the key period of the reform. As one part of the training before teacher's duty, its reform success will Contribute to finishing the educational reform of the whole normal school smoothly, will have essential meaning to realizing teacher's specialization .China and the United States are regarded as the educational superpower together, have their own characteristics both in student teaching of the normal colleges and schools. Cross-cultural comparative research is an effective means to distinguish the common regularities and particularities among different culture, it has great significance to analyze and research student teaching in China and in the United States from the cross-cultural angle .From three parts ,including student teaching course, supervising teacher and cooperating teacher ,management of student teaching and student teaching place ,this paper, mainly adopting the comparative research approach is to probe into the similarities and differences in student teaching both in China and in the United States ,and is to analyze each characteristic and reason formed . Carry on deep analysis to student teaching , will make our understanding of this proposition deeper .I wish the reform of student teaching and even the whole teacher education in our country is inspired to some extent.
