Mathematical ideology is regarded as the marrow of the knowledge of mathematics , is a kind of guidelines of mathematics and generally acceptable methods , and also is the spirit and view which play an eternal role , it can make people comprehend the true essence of mathematics, understand the value of mathematics , think and solve the problem mathematically . It can combine the learning of knowledge , the cultivation of ability and development of intelligence together organically. Therefore , Mathematical ideology as the important content of mathematics education has draw people' s attention .Strengthening the teaching of mathematical ideology , can make students turn from blind study into meaningful study, free out from the question sea. In this way , student can really draw inferences about other cases from one instance , understand the rest by analogy , shorten their course of trial and failure and really accomplish "the high ability of the high score" . Mathematics is the science of numbers and quantity and measurement of shapes . So , the methodology of number-shape combination is one of the important mathematical ideology .From the formation and development of the concept of numbers to the production of calculus and formation of every branch discipline of modern mathematics , they're closely related with the number-shape combination . which is also two major clues of the mathematics teaching material of the whole middle school . The transformation and combination of numbers and shapes is the particularly important method to solve a problem .This thesis attempts to summarize the development of the methodology of number-shape combination on a higher theoretical basis. This thesis attempts to probe into the teaching of senior middle school of the methodology of number-shape combination systematically in stead of being limited to the function of solving problems. This thesis attempts to offer confine to the methodology of number-shape combination .This thesis falls into the following 6 parts :1, Introducing the formation and development of the methodology of number-shape combination.2, The role the methodology of number-shape combination plays in the middle school mathematics teaching.3, Explaining the cultivation function of the teaching of the number-shape combination methodology .4n Exploring ways of implementing of number-shape combination methodology in teaching and providing some teaching instances.5s Analyzing the relationship between learning and mastering of mathematical language and methodology of number-shape combination and suggesting ways of mathematical language teaching .6 s Offering reflections on some problems which may occur during the implementation of the methodology number-shape combination .
