Task-based approach has become an acceptable method for many language teachers. It originated in 1982 and it is the latest development from the Communicative Method. Originally developed by N Prabhu in Bangladore, southern India, it is based on the belief that students may learn more effectively when their minds are focused on the tasks, rather than on the language they are using. Task-based approach language teaching is also used in the English writing teaching, especially in the error-correction in my school. English language teachers (ELT) in China have the problem that they spent a lot of time correcting students'errors in their writing, they always seen to make them again. So in this paper it is hypothesized that learners'interest in writing is increased by better-designed task to correct students'errors in their writing. This hypothesis is verified by a three-week classroom teaching of the nearly designed error-correction exercises. By using task-based approach in error-correcting , the teacher and the students are the active participants of teaching (writing and correcting errors). Every student show a tendency to deepen more mutual understand between students. This paper aims at pointing out that better-designed tasks can not only solve the teachers 'problems in error-correcting , but also improve the students'consciousness to cooperate each other. In addition, in this paper how to design the tasks and the notice in designing the tasks are talked about. The paper at last indicates a few negative features about this method and suggest some questions for further research.
