Construction of the socialism harmonious society is the new development of Socialism with Chinese Characteristic cognized by the Chinese Communist Party, and the necessity for the development of economic and society in China, which will bring deep and extensive influences to China. The construction of socialism harmonious society has brought forward new request for the traditional value education, and also provided new visual angle for the value education. How to correctly understand and grasp the characters and its construction stages of harmonious society and how to improve the pertinence and actual effect of the value education in the middle school student will be the urgent problems for the research and solvability in the ideological and political education of new century. Under the background of constructing the harmonious society, with the direction of important ideas of Marxism, Mao Zedong thought, Deng Xiao Ping theory and"Three Represents", with the related theory of ideological and political education, this study has made a deep discussion in the value education about the middle school student in the stage of harmonious society.This study has expounded the important meanings of improving the value education of the middle school student in the stage of harmonious society, including: redounding to form long-range objective for the middle school student; helping to slove the primary problems existing in the ideological cognition of the middle school student; redounding to form new concept requested by the harmonious society for the middle school student; helping to improve all-round development of the middle school student. Meanwhile, this study has also analyzed the new requirements in the value education of middle school student applied by the harmonious society, including: insisting on the new idea of Human-Oriented, strengthening the education of harmonious concept in the middle school student, improving the education of health emotion in the middle school student and promoting free and all-round development ofthe middle school student. With above foundation, this study has put forward the solutions of improving the value education in the middle school student, including: constructing multi-levels objective system with the foundation of forming common idea and faith; reflecting the times requirement and richening the contents of value education with the foundation of traditional value concept; respecting the individual value idea and promoting the harmonization and unification between the individual value idea and traditional value, with the foundation of leading social value concept; improving the evaluation method with the foundation of traditional education evaluation; strengthening the construction of network environment and optimizing the value education environment etc. with the foundation of whole environment construction.
