| From 1980's, our country has adopted the expanding strategy in higher education in order to realize transfer from elite education to common education. Since then higher education scale has been increasing rapidly. How to realize diversified investment effectively in local higher education is connected directly with the success of the expanding strategy confronted with the limited resource from state finance.On this background this thesis made a conclusion of the theory on diversified investment of local higher education in our country by documents reference, inquisition , interview , consultation and theory research using economics and management theory.We also traced back to the development way of the theory and practice of diversified investment of local higher education in our country and concluded some experience on this aspect.Combining the social and economic character in our country, we take privatized high school as the representative model of diversified investment of local higher education analyzing the investment mechanism condition and put forward the relative recommendation in order to promote high healthy development of diversified investment in local higher education by investigation this thesis concludes that the main body of diversified investment of local higher education consists of local government, students and their parents, social profit-seeking enterprise or personnel, social donation and high school itself.The interactive relation between diversified investment of local higher education and privatized higher school is that the former gives birth to the latter and the latter promotes the former to develop.This thesis analyses the reason of diversifying investment in local higher education and investment mechanism of privatized high school from the point of investment driving mechanism, investment absorbing mechanism and investment security mechanism. On this basis we put forward a series relative reform strategy.
