The graphs of geography teaching material, as a second language of geography,has an uncomparable advantage over words in stating geography concept, law,thecause of geography objects, the space distribution and time changes of geographycultural relics and so on. Therefore, the geography teaching material all over theworld strengthens the function of graphs. In this case, the teaching design of graphsplays an important part in the geography teaching design.In modern times, people gradually attach great importance to creation andrecognise how important the thinking of images in scientific discoveries. A largenumber of graphs in geography teaching materials are an useful instrument to fosterstudents' thinking of images. So creative education calls for graphic teaching.At present, graphic teaching is relatively weak in middle school geographyteaching. Geography teachers ought to try their best to recognize the importance ofgraphic teaching and pay more attention to the research on it as well as improve theefficiency of it.According to what the new curriculum standard demands, this paper approachesthe subject from different angles:(1)how to pass on the basic knowledge to students;(2)how to develop students' skills of recognising, analysing and drawing drafts;(3) howto foster the ability of formal logical thinking, dialectical logical thinking andsystematic logical thinking as well as converse thinking, divergent thinking andthinking in images.The theoretical basis applied in graphic teaching design of geography are asfollows:(1) the superficial phenomenon theory.(2)the information processing theory.(3)cognitive assimilation study theory, etc.In this paper, an experiment on the efficiency of graph drawing is carried out.But there's no comment on the teaching efficiency in other aspects. Meanwhile do noresearch on how to develop students' emotional attitudes and values.In a word, scientific graphic teaching design can not only help students mastergeography knowledge but also help them foster their thinking ability and becomemodern citizens with scientfic accomplishment. |
