Study On English Learning Strategies And Spoken English Teaching

With the development of Information Age, it is necessary for people to learn how to study , how to grasp definite learning strategies, how to hold the ability of learning for one's life. Learning Strategies is one of the important goals of The New English Curriculum Standards, which emphasizes the cultivation of learning strategies on cognition, emotion, regulation, communication and resources use during English teaching. It calls for helping the students to build up confidence and keeping good habits of learning, so they are able to form some effective learning strategies.Nowadays, researchers are deeply studying on English learning strategies , they have got great achievements in this field. However, they seldom talk about the study of relationship between learning strategies and spoken English teaching, especially for vocational school students. How to help them hold proper English learning strategies and improve their oral English? How to develop their ability of English communication to fit for the demands of society ? It is a chance for English teachers to study on . So the study is the need of social development and course revolution. It has got its theoretical value and practical significance.The thesis focuses on two parts: English Learning Strategies and Spoken English Teaching. It elaborates the definitions , features ,classifications of English learning strategies,and the factors influencing them. It explains oral English learning ability and teaching objectives , it also shows the spoken English teaching strategies (choose Infant Normal school students for example). How to penetrate the learning strategies during spoken English teaching? How to do some strategies'trainings on class or after school? what should English teachers and students do? The thesis uses questionnaire survey and interview to analyze the facts, then I get a theory: The effective learning strategies may improve their spoken English and increase the learners'interests of English learning, they may reduce their pressures of English speaking. If teachers are clear about all the students'learning strategies, they may adjust their teaching strategies and methods, and also they are able to help them to advance their ability of English speaking and communication in English with others. It will be possible to bring up some useful person for society.
