Research Into The Mathematical Language Of The Solid Geometry Applied In The Phase Of Senior High School

The mathematical language is a medium carrying mathematics thought , serves the tool for mathematics activity. Some studies show that the mathematics language ability has much to do with mathematics ability. Recently, mathematics language is gradually concerned in many ways for its function to mathematics learning . There is some researches into mathematics language, but little research into particular mathematics content. The solids geometry is an important curriculum in precollege classes, but the questionnaire and interviews to the senior high school student show the senior high school students sometimes cannot understand and master the solid geometry knowledge very well just due to the mathematics language problem. There is no doubt that the research into this field reveals great worthiness and fundamental importance. This essay focuses on the details as follows:1. To introduce the meanings and studies of mathematics language . Mathematics language is one of the nature of mathematics, it attaches great importance to mathematics learning .2. To discourse upon the major problem of mathematic language learning and teaching about the senior high school student's learning the solids geometry. Through the test and survey of students and the interview of teachers, we have found mathematics language problem lies in many ways involving difficulties in drawing some geometric pictures, mathematics language expression barrier, and etc.3. To introduce the relative strategies and skills for enhancement, combining with personal teaching experience and the analysis about the existing problems.
