Research On The Development Of Higher Vocational Education Of Hebei Management College

The climax of economic development in the 1980s gave birth to the highervocational education in China, which is not only an addition to the variety foreducational system to adapt itself to he structure adjustment of industry and therequirement of technological progress in the course of transformation fromtalent-aimed education to porpularized one. Along with China's WTO entry, it nowhas become the manufacturing base of the products all over the world. As a result,more applied talents with the knowledge of advanced and new technigues are inurgent need, which makes the study on higer vocation education become the socialfocus again.Given to the short history of higher vocational education in our country, theresearch work on this topic far, especially the study for a specific regional educationalinstitution does not go very far. Accordingly, the writer puts forward the developmentstrategy for Hebei Management College, which is involved in several operationproblems such as: poor conditions for running the school, lack of the characters ofdifferent majors, disadvantageous dynamic for performance evaluation…… This thesis expatiates in the first part on the connotation, nature and character ofHiger Vocational Education, as well as several advanced developing models of it inand out of China. Then it analyzed the inner and outer environments of HebeiManagement College, on the basis anylitical phierarchy process (AHP) pointing outthat Hebei Mangement College lies in the favourable outer environment butdisadvantageous inner setting. In the third part, the thesis predicts the future of HebeiManagement College, using the way of Time Order addressing the strengths,weakness, opportunities and threats that the college is facing. On the basis of IFEmatrix, EFE matrix and the thesis gives eight development strategies for the collegeand by QSPM it settles four main strategies: constructing the major characters,strengthen the practice the employment rate of the candicates, improving themanagement mechnism. At last, the thesis plans the developing strategy for HebeiManagement College and gives some suggestions about the measures.
