To adapt to the development of the society, the new-turn basic education course innovation pays attention to reforming the learning style and preaches that new learning style replaces the passive one in our country. Experiential learning is a student-centered and effective learning style, meanwhile it is studied by researchers as a very important learning approach in the 21th century. Based upon the precious researchers, the study offers some proposals with regard to the application of experiential learning to chemistry teaching in senior high school and obtains the preliminary effects.This thesis consists of six parts.Part One introduces briefly the fields and current situation of Chinese and foreign experts on applying experiential learning, and then establishes primarily the main purposes and contents of the thesis.Part Tow inquiries into the meanings, characteristics, theoretical model of experiential learning.Part Three inquiries into the experience of chemistry learning. It classifies the experience into five types, sensual experience, emotional experience, achievement experience, spiritual experience and soul experience according to the layers of students' psychological needs.Part Four discusses the experience formation. It puts forward the strategies which can format the experience. It analyzes the reasons for lack of experience and modifies the experience deficiency.Part Five carries out the teaching experiment in chemistry experiential learning in senior high school. The experiment has last to the students of senior high school for a semester in Grade One, on basic of investigating and setting up the teaching mode of chemistry experiential learning. It shows that approaching the experiential chemistry learning in chemistry teaching can improve student' schoolwork achievements, andalso produce positive affection on students' emotions. Besides, it can raise students' participating level in learning chemistry.Part Six puts forward some questions which will be resolved in future.
