At the beginning of a new century, many countries have launched education reform to meet the heat competition of science and teaching, so has Chinese done. We have also written a new style of books based on the revised curriculum. One of the outstanding characteristics of the new textbooks is the way of representing various mathematics contens. In respond to these changes, both the teachers and the students have to change their view of mathematics teaching and learning. Function is a core concept in mathematics to describe the relations between variables in the world. It is also a difficult topic in secondary mathematics. In the teaching of function concept, we need to focus on its ideas in mathematics, to permeate its ideas when it is appropriate, and to help students develop a better understanding. Through the investigation into the teaching of function concept, this paper has discussed a series of change and corresponding measures that new course standard brings.
