Research On Internal Tributary Model Of Private Higher Education

Private higher education has become an important part of higher education in China after its twenty years' development, and it has been playing an important role in mass higher education. The recent public universities' widening participation as well as the continuous entry of overseas universities caused great influence for the private ones in the students' quality and quantity. Among these, the quality and employment of the students in private universities aroused the concern for the model of the private universities. The features of the students in private universities, such as the complicated background and intermingled quality, determine that private universities should adopt a tributary model. But the relevant research has not got enough emphasis, its' theoretical research system has not been built up and the performing model has not been formed, all of which baffled the improvement of private universities and added the tribulations for the students' employment.The thesis is the first research in adopting the tributary model for private universities and in developing the tributary the theories by referring the relevant documents, analysis of the individuals and theoretical studies. After analyzing several typical private universities, it tentatively builds the theoretical tributary model for the private universities, including the essentials, principle, characteristics etc. What's more, after making clear the character of the tributary model inside the private universities, the thesis analyzes the problems;and tells that the fault of the current objective, the unbalance of structure, the failing of the function, the inflexibility of the system etc influences the quality and benefit of the private universities, so, some counter-measures are introduced to optimize the tributary model to efficiently guide its' practicing, which is to be of great importance to improve the quality of the private universities and to solve the problem of employment of the students.The thesis consists of three parts: it begin with the explaining the theory of the tributary model inside the private universities in the first part;then, the thesis analyzes the characteristics of the ideal tributary model inside the private universities and the existing problems and the reasons. In the third part, the thesis puts forward the counter-measures to optimize the tributary model to guide the implementation and to solve the problem of in the development of the private universities.
