Cultivating top-ranking intelligent elites is a social concern project andsenior high-aptitude students are the second reserves. Even though thedefinition of high-aptitude students is vague,it is supposed that students inscience experimental class belong to the group. As swift horses cannot feed on forage grass, teaching them according totextbooks of popular edition can probably block the development ofhigh-aptitude students. How to teach high-aptitude students should be basedon the various curriculum constructions instead of slogans.Based on teaching practice of the experimental class and guided by theteaching theories, the thesis does some research as follows. First, five levelsof teaching aims are put forward:the level of reaching the basic goals, thelevel of extending knowledge, the level of transfer ability which is aimed tocultivate the students ability of learning chemistry , the level of liferealization aiming to arouse the students' inner interest and encourage themto relate chemistry to their life experience and life value.Secondly , teaching contents are integrated , the six aspects ofextendedness on the basis of poplar edition: The key knowledge onchemistry facts abnegated in consideration of the acceptance ability of themajority of the students,The basic knowledge on principles matching theprinciples of maths and physics,Chemistry knowledge closely related tostudents' daily life, including the latest development of applied chemistry,Historical materials about chemistry of great importance and instruction,Chemistry experiment such as experiment for extendedness and situationexperiment,Basic principles on organic chemistry.Thirdly , student-centred four-step unit teaching ismodelled.Self-studying , Questioning and discussing , Elaborating ,Evaluating.Fourthly , four teaching strategies for high-aptitude students aresuggested:High expectancy strategy , Question-driven strategy ,Theory-guided strategy,Self-motivated strategy.Judging from the achievements of the students in the experimental classand the questionnaires addressed to the students and parent, the research isvery feasible and effective to practice the chemistry curriculum constructionfor senior high-aptitude students.
