In the new Mathematics Curriculum Reform, geometry has changed a lot, adding thedimension of shape& transformation. Shape & transformation mainly include axiallysymmetric transformation, translation transformation, circumrotate translation, similartransformation. a large part of which is new content. How to appear this part in themathematics textbook? What is the strongpoint and fault? How to improve it? All those needto be studied immediately. This paper takes the three junior mathematics textbooks under the new mathematicscurriculum criterion for example to study the appearance form of the shape& transformationin the mathematics textbooks: the edition of Peoples education press, the edition of BeijingNormal University, the edition of East China Normal University. This paper studies theappearance form from six aspects: content, writing system, selection of source material, appearance style, informational technology integration, knowledge integration. And find thestrongpoint and fault of them. From the study, we find:1.seeing form the content, three editions textbooks are all compiled by selecting theteaching content under the curriculum criterion and basically reflected the demands of thecurriculum criterion on the content of textbook. They are more or less the same, but also havesome differences.2.seeing form the writing system, three editions textbooks are all compiled by risingspiral. They all have two clues: one is knowledge content;the other is logical prove. Thedifferences of the three editions textbooks mostly reflect on the sequence of the contentcompiled and the level of the logical prove.3.seeing form the selection of source material, they all notice the reality. They select theactivity, play which students like and reflect the application of mathematics in the real life. Ina word, the edition of Peoples education press is better than the other two editions.4.seeing form the appearance style, the notable change of the three editions textbooks isthat, they all strengthen the part of Audiovisual Geometry and Experimental Geometry. Theedition of Peoples education press combines the Audiovisual Geometry and ExperimentalGeometry with Prove Geometry. The other two editions are mainly Audiovisual Geometryand Experimental Geometry.5.seeing form the informational technology integration, the edition of Peoples educationpress and the edition of Beijing Normal University set special subject of informationaltechnology as elective content. The edition of East China Normal University has nocombination with informational technology6.seeing form the knowledge integration, the edition of Peoples education press is betterthan the other two editions. It combines the content of Shape & transformation with othercontent.By analysis, we can find out that the three editions textbooks under the new mathematicscurriculum criterion succeed in attempting to reflect the principles of curriculum criterion andhave contribution to the textbook reform. But they also have some parts which need toimprove. In the foundation of this, the author suggests the following advices:1. The appearance of shape& transformation in the textbook must reflect its value.2.The selection of material must near student's life.3. The design of the problem must be real, funny and can help student resolve theproblem of daily life.4. The structure of the textbook can be different, but in one set must keep conformed.5. Stress the integration of informational technology.6. Stress the integration of other contents.7. Form one's own style and characteristic. This study will have some revelation effect on the Mathematics Curriculum Reform andthe construction of the textbook.
