The high school athletics is the important path that carries out education and develop an overall development person with ability, and it is the most important and decisive middle link in the whole life athletics. With the promulgation of《Instruction outline for national athletics course teaching in common high school》in 2002, an athletics course reform starts all-around. It improves teaching quality all-around, makes students better to control the knowledge (namely exercise technique) of the athletics lesson, and it lays foundation for whole the life athletics, also it is the important mission of public athletics in high school now.The procedure teaching method develops on the basis of the procedure teaching theories and the control theory. This paper make use of a literature data method, experiment method, talking method, investigation and questionnaire method, mathematical statistics method, logic analysis method etc. to discuss deeply the"theory foundation","teaching aim","teacher principle","based method","arrangement method"and"teaching evaluation"of procedure teaching method. We establish the procedure textbook of dropping shot for volleyball. It is viable from the theories for the procedure teaching method used for volleyball options lesson technique teaching in common high school. From the questionnaire of student in experiment-class: The procedure teaching method is advantageous to the technique technical ability, the theories knowledge level and various ability ,and it raises a student too. And it is advantageous to improving student's self-educated ability and memory to keep quantity than the normal regulations teaching method; From the students'questionnaire, we can see that the procedure teaching method applies and can attain to schedule in volleyball options lesson technique teaching in common high school of teaching target. Its evaluation system also gets the experiment class the student's affirmation. Therefore, the procedure teaching method is applicable in volleyball options lesson technique teaching in common high school, we even hope to provide a beneficial reference for other technique teachings.
