The relationship between education and social stratification is the mainstream of Educational Sociology research all the time. Existing research not only regards higher education as the most important factor in changing social stratum for individuals, but also emphasizes the direct effect of social stratification structure on individual education. Current development of higher education reflects the enormous stratum differences. In the process of socio-economic transition, stratum gaps have become more and more obvious in allocating the resources of higher education, which is directly related to solidification of social structure or flow between classes, as well as good social order and the long-term healthy development of the society.The purpose of this research is inquiry into a family's stratum capital acquires to the son generation's higher education opportunity,Launching from several followings: 1.The theories on stratum position and education relation;2. The analysis of the mechanism of how the stratum position affects the next generation's higher education opportunity in our country currently; 3.The empirical research on stratum position influences son generation's higher education achievement. Considering of operation method possibilities, such as this text's research purpose and sample amount and differences, etc., we elect the national and social governor's stratum, professional technical personnel's stratum and the industry worker's stratum these three stratums to carry on detailed analysis.Beginning with the viewpoints of conflict theory in western educational sociology, in this paper, the author introduced four main theories : Blau & Duncan's classic research, The Credential Society Theory, Capitalism Social Reproduction Theory,and Cultural Reproduction Theory.
