Each realizes the importance of professional development for teachers in a lot of policies and practices of education innovations. Professional development for teachers of science is in a focus in all innovation tactics of science education. And if not, the tactics isn't able to become reality only ideal. Professional development for teachers of science needs consider different complication, and it is a dynamic developing process. Along with time changing, teacher vocation is provided with characteristics of indeterminacy , situation and effect lagging. So, It is exigent to establish our professional development standards and to consider teachers as a special professional. They should be researched exigently to how to establish professional development standards and to which interrelated complication should be considered. American have put up a lot of useful explores in training of teachers of science. It is a most remarkable characteristic to plan certain professional development standards for teachers of science in American teacher training. The standards not only plan professional development's objects in sum but also plan its main content concretely. It brings many useful inspirations for better constructing professional development standards for teachers of science in our country by reflecting our actual status of teachers of science education and introducing, analyzing the experience of teachers of science training in America.The Paper mainly consists of three parts.Part one is a literatures summarizing. It mainly gets profoundly that professional development for teachers of science should be on their own initiative change. Professional development for teachers of science should transfer passive teacher professional development to initiative. During this change process, because the influences of different complications in teacher education, it is very much needed to establish a standards of professional development for teachers of science.Part two is an analysis and introduction of professional development standards for teachers of science in American. It gets out some certain contents of professional development standards for teachers of science in American by: teachers of science learn science through inquiring to experience the process of science inquiring and discovering, they combine self-consciously science with pedagogy, they take part in learning activities by class or other forms, they practice teaching highly quality; they integrate the knowledge , skill and idea of science, learning and teaching, they apply inquiry , thinking, research and modeling to guide students' activities; Concerned branches plan exactly training systems of professional development standards for teachers of science.
