Assessment is a bottleneck in development of new curriculum, also a handicap for new curriculum to progress rapidly. The compulsory education in rural areas is the main body of China's compulsory education and is the key to improve educational quality of our country. In new curriculum, how to assess pupil' mathematic study in rural areas are concerned by both the government and society. Therefore, the probe into assessment of pupil's mathematic study in ChengKou Prefecture Chongqing Province is significant practically. However, there are few studies in it at present.This paper attempts to investigate the actuality of assessment of pupil's mathematic study in ChengKou Prefecture Chongqing Province, also exposes and analyses the possible problems and difficulties. Accordingly, the actuality of assessment of pupil's mathematic study in ChengKou Prefecture ChongQing Province is: the ideals of new curriculum assessment are mostly accepted by teachers in rural primary school; the leading means of assessment of pupil's mathematic study is examination; the contents of examination focus on basic knowledge and basic skill, in addition, "Number and Algebra" is the most important part in basic knowledge and...
