The relation between the constructivism framework and college student's innovative ability was empirically studied. The concept model about constructivism framework and innovative ability was established to explore the following relations:1. the relation between the constructivism framework (characterized by the interaction and self-regulation) and the deep approach to learning (including deep motive and deep strategy) .2. the relation between the deep approach to learning (including deep motive and deep strategy) and the innovative personality (including curiosity and persistence) and the relation between the deep approach to learning and the innovative thinking (including fluency, flexibility and originality)3. the relation between the constructivism framework (characterized by the interaction and self-regulation) and the surface approach to learning (including surface motive and surface strategy).4. the relation between the surface approach to learning (including surface motive and surface strategy) and the innovative personality (including curiosity and persistence) and relation between the surface approach to learning and the innovative thinking (including fluency, flexibility and originality)The results obtained show:1. The constructivism framework is positively related with the deep approach to learning.2. The constructivism framework is not positively related with surface approach of learning.
