Based on the theory of development of moral cognition, symbolic interactionism and Margaret Mead's theory of generation gap, this research makes comparative analysis on present status of the teachers and students' moral cognitions, in attempt to find reasons that cause differences in teachers and students' moral cognitions from social and cultural perspectives; The main method of research in this paper is questionnaire, combing with subordinate methods of case study, content analytic approach and documental method. I have made a positive study on moral concept, mental image, moral judgment, moral belief, as the four factors constitutes moral cognition.The results conclude that: (1) as a whole, there is a few differences between teachers and students' moral cognition. The level of students' moral cognition is lower than that of teachers' . (2) there are a great many differences on the four factors: On the aspect of moral concept, students' understanding as to its connotation is more diversified than that of teachers ' , and the meaning generalization appears of lower level. Teachers and students focus on the different aspects of morality, that is to say the extension they paid attention to is different.
