With the rapid development of knowledge and scientific technlogy, fiece competition among different countries, the most important task of quality education is to develop students' thinking ability, especially creative thinking ability, which is also the requirement of cultivating talents.Along with the social information acceleration, the complex changeable society set a higher request to humans' thinking ability. In knowledge economic times, it calls for the teachers to teach students how to think in mathematics, which is the basic course to develop students' thinking ability. Great creative elements are contained in maths teaching. Inpuired, a totally new teaching method, can create reasonable situation to students. We can better cultivate students' thinking ability and cultivate talents by investigating the characteristic of the subject. The research illustrates the intention of inquried teaching and the whole process of inquired teaching. What's more, the intention of creative thinking, characteristic of teaching and the elements to affect creative thinking are included.According to the experimental study, it is indicated that imquried teaching can improve the students maths results and develop students creative thinking ability.
