The strategy of "developing the country by relying on science andeducation" has been implemented in China, and innovation has been put animportant position and height .In order to adaptive the requirements ofthe new age, mathematics teaching staff must change their traditionalteaching concepts and innovate their teaching modes so that they cancultivate the person with independent thinking ability and innovationconsciousness.Math is a main course in the basic education phase. The aim of themath teaching is not only to impart the mathematics knowledge to students,or to train the thinking methods, but also to teach the students to realizethe value of the math, and let them understand the forming process of thethinking in mathematic way, and make them have the consciousness ofquantity and good sense of number, and cultivate them the ability toanalyze the problem and to solve the problem.Chinese students are used to the "algorithm"learning, which meanssolving specified problem using specified solution. They are not good atsolve the problem that is opening, vague, realistic, therefor needs morecreativity. With regard to this phenomenon, the thesis discuses someaspects of open-ended problem teaching, including what is mathematicopen-ended problem teaching, how can mathematic open-ended problemscultivate the creative thinking, what requirements are for teachers inmath open-ended problem teaching, etc. Combined with examples andteaching practices, cultivating the creative thinking effectively usingmathematic open-ended problem teaching is discussed in the thesis.
